Ragwort

Up the hill were growing ragwort plants here and there, an accident standing tall, opposing the purple of the blooming heather. Their reputation in tatters, because they are considered by many as a poisonous weed to root out and destroy, harmful to livestock and infiltrating crop plants. Tell that to the cinnabar moth.

Day's End is a celebration of bogs and marshes, crucial habitats for wildlife and areas that need protecting. This was from a period in which I was playing with various planes of distance and focus, keeping the style loose with interesting marks and textures.

How to purchase: If you would like to purchase a painting from the catalogue at the sale price, simply reply to this email and we can have a chat about it. The sale is only open to people who subscribe to my emails, so these prices are not available via my website shop.

Framing: The medium-sized paintings are sold unframed and ready to hang with wire fixed to the back. I'm happy to do the framing if you'd like, for an extra cost. The smaller works are already framed.

Delivery: Delivery costs will be worked out when you provide your address. Small paintings are sent via Royal Mail, tracked and signed for. Larger paintings are couriered.
