Based on a collection of photos from c. 2010 in a very harsh Winter. Tyldesley, Lancashire. I spent a lot of my childhood walking in this landscape. It's surprising to find it hidden in the old, run down former mining town.

I loved the atmosphere of it in the freezing fog, with snow crunching underfoot.

The crow is a favourite bird of mine: the dark scavenger.
