This series was very much an exploration of myself: I find (like many people) I am characterised by the internal pull of chaos and control: this is something often reflected in how I go about creating art and usually dependent on my mental state. After laying down a brash, fiery base of chaotic mess, spattering and throwing paint down, I place next to it some calming, ordered geometric shapes in a cool palette.

 

​This dichotomy of chaos and control is present in everything: ourselves, society, politics, nature, Earth, the solar system, the universe and so on...
